Forgiveness by Guy de Maupassant (Short Story)

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Guy de Maupassant's story of grief from a broken marriage, makes a commentary on the society, using the naivety of the wife and the deceptiveness of the husband. The phrase "people hardly speak what they mean and mean what they say" is shown through this story and rather than reminding helps find solace specially for anyone who might have faced one the other kind of betrayal from their friends or family.
